BIOMIMICRY:

What is biomimicry? I would introduce to the Biomimicry, Innovation, Entrepreneurship club at my school every year, as the Vice President of the club. My usual answer would be that the Earth has been sustaining itself for billions of years, recycling its own waste with each organism having a distinct adaptation that contributes to the environment's overall well being. Every year, the club guides new members on the concepts of biomimicry, and in the second semester, we apply those topics to use in the Biomimicry Youth Design Challenge, engineering our own solution to an ecological problem through nature's structures and functions.
